ADAPTEM - European Innovation Transfer Project offers answers to new challenges in human resource development

The aim of the project, “Let’s adapt” (Catalan: adaptem), is an improved adjustment of supply and demand in vocational training, especially for small and medium-sized companies.

From 21 to 25 September, 20 experts from 9 institutions from 8 countries met in Arad (Romania) and Gyula (Hungary) to exchange experiences and further develop innovative instruments for educational monitoring.
So-called tools are, for example, an e-learning offer for external human re-source developers, a database for the effective research of further educa-tion and advanced training offers, and a guideline for regional Public Pri-vate Partnerships (PPP). PPP stands for the mobilisation of private capital and expert knowledge for the realisation of government tasks. The project, LET’S ADAPT, supports the cross-linking of relevant actors in the field of vocational training.

BBQ is engaged primarily as an expert for counselling employers, employ-ees and job seekers in this project. It supports the content design of the e-learning offer for corporate consultants or external human resource devel-opers. Silke Jäger-Warnecke considers the transnational meeting, which stretched over four days in two countries, a success: “Halfway through the project, we have developed very good products and together discovered a very effective and pleasant working style. Each project partner puts in a good contribution with their compentencies and makes use of the results acquired in order to improve their own work in the company in their home country. The European principle of Lifelong Learning is obviously well es-tablished in the participating institutions.”

The productive work was rewarded by the Hungarian partners with a cul-tural high point in the form of a successful closing dinner in the medieval castle of Gyula. Lively discussions about culture and history in Europe dominated this evening.
The third and next project meeting will take place in Rome from 24 to 26 March. You can find further information about this on the project website, www.letsadapt.org. The project is financed within the framework of the EU Leonardo da Vinci programme, Transfer of Innovations, and coordinated by the municipality of Gandía in Spain.
