Technology program

With the START 2000 Plus initiative of the employer association Südwestmetall we support the companies in Baden- Württemberg. On behalf of Südwestmetall we increase interest in science and technology and offer support in obtaining new specialists.

A practical example: the Pupil-Engineer Academy (SIA)

In cooperation with schools, Universities of Applied Sciences and companies the SIA promotes science and technology in schools and optimises the orientation of pupils’ educational and career options.

• The content of courses is designed modularly
• Issues are worked on in practical and theoretical exercises and projects which span specialisations – from mechanical engineering and electronics to mechatronics, energy technology, IT or business studies.
• Seminars on project management, presentation techniques and team building
• Supplement to the content of the education plan for general education grammar schools

1,200 pupils take part in the SIA each year.
